This past weekend marked the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. One Michigander had a funny take on this historic accomplishment: "To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, roads all over Michigan are simulating the moon's surface."

But jokes aside, this is a very serious issue. Our infrastructure is crumbling -- nearly one-fourth of Michigan's major roads are in poor condition. And a recent report found that driving on deficient roads costs Michiganders more than $14 billion dollars annually.

This cannot wait any longer. Add your name if you agree it's time to fix the damn roads.

Earlier this year, I introduced a budget that would finally fix the damn roads and make critical investments in our infrastructure. But Lansing Republicans are dragging their feet and haven't acted in more than 140 days.

In some parts of the state, bad roads cost the average driver more than $2,000 per year -- that means Michiganders are personally paying the price of us not repairing our roads through the costs of new windshields or an alignment.

Our roads shouldn't have more craters than the surface of the moon and they don't have to.

Add your name to send a message to the legislature loud and clear: Stop wasting time and work with us to fix the damn roads!

Let's do this,
