It’s basically a coin flip who will control the House next year: MAGA Republicans, or patriotic Democrats. With just 6 weeks until Election Day (and with some states already early voting) we’re almost out of time to pull ahead:
The POLLS are tied: According to FiveThirtyEight, Democrats are slightly ahead in the polling average, but only by about a point. That’s basically a tie.
The MARGINS are tight: In 2020, we lost four seats by less than 1 point. Control of the House Majority could again come down to just a handful of votes in a handful of swing districts.
Our MAJORITY is razor thin: There are 435 seats in the House, but we only hold the Majority by five votes. Republicans can win control with only a handful of flips in swing districts.
So that’s what we’re up against—tied polls, tight margins, and a five-seat Majority. We need to start raising and spending BIG if we want to keep control.
