John,

The actions of so many governors across the nation during the COVID-19 health crisis were inexcusable and frankly, downright tyrannical.

And we have to make sure it NEVER happens again.

As you may remember, we’re suing California Governor Gavin Newsom on behalf of Second Amendment advocate Ron Givens who merely wanted to hold a peaceful protest at the State Capitol in Sacramento.

But government officials in Sacramento saw to it that Ron and his friends had their permit application denied and their peaceful socially distanced rally cancelled.

When we saw this blatant violation of the First Amendment we sprang into action with a lawsuit.

This legal battle has now been raging for over two years now.

Unfortunately, a federal district judge just dismissed our lawsuit saying that the case was moot because Gov. Newsom was unlikely to shut anything down now that there are vaccines.

Before I say anything else, I want to hear from you.

Do you think we should stop our fight against Newsom because there are vaccines?

Rest assured, we haven’t given up.

Just over a week ago, we took the Brach v. Newsom case to the U.S. Supreme Court after an en banc Ninth Circuit said that case was similarly “moot.”

You may recall in Brach we challenged the Governor’s shut down of public and private schools during the pandemic—a decision that continues to be disasterous for kids.

And as you know, Governor Newsom still hasn’t lifted the “State of Emergency” designation from the State of California.

I believe that as long as California is in a “State of Emergency,” Gov. Newsom could shut down schools again, or shut down First Amendment rights again like he did in Givens and in Brach, at the drop of a hat.

If you and I don’t hold leftists like Newsom accountable, they’ll continue to grab power, hold onto that power, and ignore the Constitution with no regard for your freedoms.

With your support, we’re going to stay in the fight.
