Dear John,

It's estimated that four out of five children in the Gaza Strip live with depression, grief, and fear.

The latest Israeli military assault on Gaza coupled with the 16-year air, land, and sea blockade has caused long-term psychosocial implications for the two million people living in the Gaza Strip.

UNRWA’s mental health program in Gaza employs specialized mental health counselors - recruited from the local refugee population - to provide individual and targeted group counseling to Palestinian refugees.

To support this life-changing mental health program, UNRWA USA hosts annual Gaza 5K walks and runs in cities around the United States.

In order to help safeguard the mental health program in Gaza, MPAC is proud to run the Gaza 5K on Saturday, October 1st in the Bay Area, and we need your support. I’m asking you to join our team in this effort by signing up and/or donating to Team MPAC.

Funds raised will go directly towards helping UNRWA continue to employ refugee counselors and to provide life-changing mental health care to Gaza’s children.

Ready to join me? Get started by registering to join here. Use the code MPAC ($10 off registration). If you’re unable to register but would like to support the cause, here’s a link to MPAC’s fundraising page so you can donate.

Thanks for your solidarity and for helping us show Palestinian refugees that Americans care!
