Last year, the IDF discovered six attack tunnels beneath its northern border with Lebanon.
These tunnels were dug deep underground, through miles of sheer rock, by Hezbollah terrorists committed to killing Israelis. Using technologies developed and funded with the help of the United States, Israel was able to detect and destroy these tunnels.
But the threat is not eliminated completely.
Last Monday, the IDF reported that the military has detected more tunnels beneath Israel’s border with Lebanon. While they do not pose an immediate threat to Israeli civilians, the IDF must stay vigilant.
And so must we.
With help from supporters like you, we can continue to work with Congress to strengthen U.S.-Israel strategic cooperation and deliver critical security assistance for technologies like tunnel detection programs that help keep the United States and Israel safe.
