Chris, the last seven months I've been raising money for Ukraine, and I'd like a moment to see if you can help.
Since the Russian invasion back in February, I've been using my social media networks to fundraise on behalf of humanitarian efforts in Ukraine, while also providing daily news updates on the war via TikTok, and an hour-long nightly news briefing beamed to YouTube, TikTok and other social media. Since that time, I've raised over $60,000 for Ukraine, with 100% of the money I raised going to Ukraine -- I didn't take a dime.
I don't want to stop helping Ukraine, but I need your support as I'm spending most of my time these days on Ukraine -- it's practically my full-time job.
But before I ask for your help, let me share some of the people and groups I've helped with my fundraising along the way:
- We provided over $10,000 in direct aid to Ukrainian refugee families.
- We bought a bus, filled it with medicine, then used it to evacuate Ukrainian families from occupied-Mariupol.
- We provided tens of thousands of dollars to Ukrainian "meals on wheels" groups who deliver food to people in bomb shelters or shut-ins who can't leave their homes (e.g., the elderly).
- We purchased two cars for "meals on wheels" group Kharkovy Mir to help it ramp up its food deliveries.
- We bought and sent $10,000 in first aid kits to Ukraine.
- We provided several thousand dollars worth of food and medical supplies to people with disabilities in a front-line town.
- And we bought $1,000 worth of cookies to give refugee kids a long-missed treat.
That gives you a taste of what I've been doing these past seven months.
If you agree my work is important, and would like to see it continue, please consider making a contribution to help me continue supporting Ukraine throughout the coming winter.
Thanks so much, JOHN
