The George Washington Initiative was founded with a single purpose: to target and dismantle dis- and misinformation at its roots.
We are living in difficult times. In the last two years alone, we’ve confronted a pandemic, an insurrection, and devastating mass shootings. These crises have been worsened by the scourge of DisMis on social media and the promotion of lies from high-profile elected officials.
So as we head into another major election, the George Washington Initiative stands committed to safeguarding our democracy and getting our nation back on track.
Our team of experts and researchers is working tirelessly to develop and test innovative technology so that we can be ready to confront this grave threat. Your support is vital as we approach our end-of-quarter deadline. It will ensure we have the resources to continue our work, recruit new volunteers, and organize more successful events like last month’s symposium.
