Gryder Endorsed by Ag Leader Phil
Nelson
Nelson backs Gryder who will fight for Illinois ag in D.C.
Oswego, Ill. – Congressional candidate for IL-14 and Kendall County
Board Chairman Scott Gryder is announcing today the campaign endorsement
of Phil Nelson. A leader in the Illinois agriculture industry, Nelson is
the former president of the Illinois Farm Bureau and the former Illinois
Director of Agriculture.
“Agriculture isn’t just a major industry in
Illinois, it’s a way of life for many Illinoisans. I’m honored to have
the endorsement of Phil Nelson, who knows the agriculture industry in
Illinois and understands the unique challenges faced today,” said
Gryder. “We’re truly blessed to have some of the best farmland in the
world along with hardworking and innovative farmers. This industry has
progressed quickly in recent years, going from the average U.S. farmer
feeding 28 people to 155 people today.
“But on the other hand, we are
seeing more regulations for our farmers coming out of D.C. from
Democrats like Joe Biden and Lauren Underwood who are pushing a Green
New Deal that is harmful to the farming industry. Imposing burdensome
regulations that will restrain American ag and energy is not the way to
treat our farmers, nor is 8% inflation, skyrocketing fuel prices, or
fertilizer shortages. Farmers have it tough this year thanks to Biden
and Underwood, and in November we have the chance to prioritize ag again
with Republicans.”
Nelson adds, “Scott Gryder stands for less
government, less regulations, and representing each and every one of
you.”
