Envision a world in which Alexandria is not re-elected to Congress — or
worse yet, was never elected in the first place...

Sorry for the scary image, but it’s almost October after all. 🎃

In this world, the Green New Deal doesn’t fundamentally reshape the
national conversation around climate change. The $2 billion National FEMA
Funeral Assistance Program isn’t created, leaving thousands of families of
COVID-19 victims without help to bury their loved ones. Michael Cohen
isn’t asked during his congressional testimony about Trump’s history of
inflating his assets — and last week’s lawsuit from the Attorney General
against the Trump family for fraud doesn’t happen. The list could go on…

Spelling it out like this makes you appreciate just how crucial AOC’s
voice has become in Congress and to the national political conversation.

But we’re a democracy, and no elected representative is entitled to their
seat. Every two years, Congresspeople have to run their campaigns and
secure votes from the constituents who trust them — even the popular ones.
AOC is no exception and takes this renewal of trust very seriously.

very different place without AOC. Will you chip in $3 to
Alexandria’s re-election fund today to show AOC how much we appreciate her
bringing the interests of the working class to D.C?

As we wrap up this quarter of the year and move towards the start of a
third term, it’s important to reflect on how far we’ve come and how
grateful we are to the mass movement that has taken up this work to fight
for an equitable future. But that work never ends — so we must stay
vigilant and continually renew our commitment the same way Alexandria
does.
