After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in June, Republicans have signaled that if they flip control of Congress, they will try to enact a nationwide ban on abortion, including in cases of rape or incest. That could affect clinics like Lilith here in Portland, which is a necessary safe haven for women who sometimes have to travel hundreds or thousands of miles to receive an abortion.

Folks, I am an unapologetic defender of reproductive rights, and I believe that abortion and reproductive health care should be accessible to everyone.
