Ever thought about organizing your workplace, but don't know where to start? Join ATL DSA's labor committee for an in-person workplace roundtable at 711 Catherine St SW on Monday 9/26 from 7:00-9:00 PM.

This roundtable will be an informal discussion on workplace organizing strategies, and what challenges people are facing in their own workplaces. Be prepared to introduce yourself, and share your experiences and advice with comrades on having workplace organizing conversations, strategies, and more! This event is open to members and non-members of all levels of experience!

Thanks to everyone who helped make our 2022 Chapter Convention a success! This Saturday, members gathered at Neighborhood Church for our most important meeting of the year, where we talked strategy in organizing workshops, debated and voted on priorities, and elected a new Steering Committee to lead the chapter for the next year.

The resolutions that passed included:

• Priority: Class Struggle Electoral Strategy in 2022
• Priority: Building a Socialist Labor Movement
  • Amendment Solidarity with Rank and File Union Members
• Renewing Education Committee
• Streamlining Chapter Communications
• Renewing Membership Committee
• Establishing Operations Committee
• Renewing Northwest Georgia Branch
• Democratic Committee Structure
• Building a Progressive Labor Coalition

This convention was a wonderful event full of energy, collaboration, and solidarity. Moving into the next year, our organization is committed to rebuilding the labor movement, defending abortion rights, and fighting for a democratic society. We have a world to win together - Let's get organizing!

Atlanta DSA's Book Club explores a range of topics in socialist theory. In our biweekly meetings, we discuss big picture ideas about history, economics, and politics!
