In a second, I’m going to ask you to donate $12.50 to get assault weapons out of our communities. But first, will you take the time to read my family’s story and understand just how critical it is we ban these weapons of war once and for all? >>
125 days. That’s how long it’s been since I last kissed my beautiful daughter Jackie goodbye at school drop off.
That’s how long it’s been since I watched my whole world walk into the entrance of Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, TX, and never walk out.
That’s how long it’s been since Jackie, my niece Annabell, 17 other children, and 2 teachers were robbed of their lives at the barrel of an assault weapon.
My little girl, Jackie, was just 9 years old. She had the biggest heart, was so full of life, and would go out of her way to help anyone in need.

Back to school pictures will never be the same, our morning routine will never be the same, rushing out the door so we won’t be late will never be the same, after school pick up will never be the same. My whole world will never be the same.
My older daughter Jazmin and I will have to stop at Sonic on the drive home for two drinks instead of three, but I will always order a cherry limeade with extra cherries just like she did.
I know our family isn’t the only one that will never see school pick-ups or after school snacks or their child’s backpack the same way again -- and knowing that there are so many families like ours breaks my heart.
We can’t afford to wait another 125 days to take action to ban assault weapons. That’s why I’m standing with BAWN. We need your help to hold cowardly lawmakers accountable and unseat every one of them who refuse to protect our children. We need to raise $5,000 today in honor of my sweet Jackie, my niece Annabell, and the 19 other lives stolen from us 125 days ago. Will you chip in $12.50 to help BAWN elect gun safety champions committed to banning assault weapons -- like the one used to murder my daughter and niece? >>
How many more families will send their kids to school only for them to never come home?
How many more children will go to school afraid that they’ll be next?
How many more bright lights like Jackie’s and Annabell’s will be stolen from us?
We have the power to prevent the next Parkland, the next Sandy Hook, the next Robb Elementary -- but it’s going to take each and every one of us standing up to lawmakers who only offer “thoughts and prayers” and refuse to take meaningful action.
My daughter and niece lit up every part of their community with their smiles and their love – and even now their best friends and classmates are fighting on in their honor. Will you chip in $12.50 to join our fight and help BAWN raise $5,000 today in honor of the 21 lives stolen from us at Robb Elementary 125 days ago? Every dollar you donate goes to support gun safety champions dedicated to ending gun violence and banning assault weapons once and for all. >>
Thanks for fighting alongside us,
