John, I lost.
Right-wing super PACs and cryptocurrency billionaires spent $3.6 million dollars to defeat my run for Congress. They were threatened by a young, progressive, Muslim woman running for a brighter future.
While we couldn’t overcome being out-spent nearly 4-to-1, we shocked everyone with how close we got - proving the unprecedented power of our grassroots movement.
Now, we have a chance to build on the groundwork laid during my campaign to stop a GOP supermajority in the NC House and Senate. But I know firsthand that organizing isn’t enough, and we can’t afford to miss a single fundraising goal. So I’m asking, will you chip in $27 before our critical budget deadline? >>
I won’t lie, John. Losing that race and my opportunity to represent the working families of NC-04 was really difficult.
But here I am, continuing to fight to elect bold, progressive candidates up and down the ballot.
This November, things will be different.
Why?
- Because we’ve grown from one race to a MOVEMENT.
- Because these down ballot races will be determined by just a few hundred votes - allowing us to make a MASSIVE impact.
- Because while corporate interests attempt to buy these races for personal gain, we have thousands of grassroots donors like you who believe that a brighter future is worth fighting for.
I decided to launch a Brighter Future PAC because the hardworking people who voted for me haven’t given up. I won’t either.
But I do need your help. Please chip in to help us raise the $8,700 we need to defeat GOP extremists and elect strong, progressive candidates who are fighting for the working people of North Carolina >>
Thank you,
Nida Allam
