Jamaal Bowman is running a grassroots, people-powered campaign so that the
voice to the people of NY’s 16th district has a place in Congress. Jamaal
Bowman is an educator, husband, father of three, and champion of children
and working families.

And here’s the thing. He is about to go all in on his campaign to take on
entrenched incumbent Elliot Engel. Jamaal is resigning from his position
as a middle school principal to fully commit to his campaign.

Jamaal is putting it all on the line for his campaign, and we need to have
his back to help make sure he wins. Jamaal needs to raise $55,000 before
the end of the year in order to pay staff, knock more doors, and reach
more voters.

Jamaal has been campaigning while working full time as a principal of a
school in a low-income district. Now that he can fully commit to
campaigning, everything is going to kick into high gear as he fights for a
Green New Deal, Medicare for All, and free public college.

Jamaal is up against against an entrenched incumbent and corporate special
interests who will spend big to make sure he doesn’t win. Jamaal’s
opponent — Eliot Engel — has a war chest of corporate PAC and lobbyist
money to draw from. But Jamaal has a powerful coalition of working people
like you on his side.

Eliot Engel and his cronies in Congress will spend as much money as it
takes to keep their power and halt the wave of change that’s coming for
them.

For us to keep pushing for our voices and values in Congress, Jamaal must
have the resources to go toe-to-toe with the corporate establishment he’s
running against. That’s why it’s so important that Jamaal reaches his
end-of-year fundraising goal of $55,000.
