Over 3,000 of you made your voices heard!
Hello John,
Huge thanks to all of you who supported young people by signing and sharing our petition. Over 3,081 of you used your voices to call on the Government to properly fund youth work in Budget 2023 tomorrow, and ensure that young people in Ireland get the support that they deserve.
We presented your signatures, along with powerful stories of young people whose lives were changed by youth work ([link removed]) , to politicians and decision makers in Government.
Photographed with TDs and Senators at the petition handover were Conor from Co Meath, whose personal story about the positive benefits that youth work has had on his life is part of the document, members of Blanchardstown Foroige Jade, Chantelle and Megan and Members of the Talk About Youth Project, St Andrew’s Resource Centre, Pearse Street Nikolas, Erica, Lauren and Katelynn. Picture: Marc O’Sullivan.
You can browse through the booklet online ([link removed]) now - see the powerful stories from young people about how youth work changed their lives, and see if you can find your name among the signatures!
