*Announcing Michigan's High Water Infrastructure 2023 Request for Proposals*

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) is pleased to announce Michigan?s 2023 High Water Infrastructure Grant Program Request for Proposals for a one-time release for up to $14.25 million as appropriated by the Michigan Legislature under Section 1006 of PA 87 of 2021.? This grant program will provide infrastructure and planning grants that directly address the impacts and vulnerabilities presented by severe weather events, with a focus on projects that address flooding, coastline erosion, urban heat, and storm water management.

Regional councils of government, local units of government, and public or nonprofit organizations with sponsorship from local units of government are eligible for funding under this grant program.? Funding is available state-wide and restricted to infrastructure and planning projects that directly address the impacts and vulnerabilities presented by the Great Lakes high-water and severe weather events.? Eligible activities will be project-specific and determined on a case-by-case basis. ?
