Dear Friend -- Last week we celebrated as five more countries signed and two more countries ratified the landmark 2017 Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW). Today, on the International day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons, we’re calling out the companies behind the bomb. Can you help us by sharing the post below on social media?
Our efforts to stigmatize nuclear weapons are working: from 2019 to 2021, the total amount made available for nuclear weapons producing companies dropped by an impressive $63 billion! Today we're increasing the pressure on those companies and their vested interest in keeping nuclear weapons around forever. It is up to us to call them out for their complicity in making the world a more dangerous place. We can break the cycle, and make these companies understand that it’s not worth the hassle to keep their nuclear weapons contracts, moving us one step closer to a world without nuclear weapons.
