This is the time of year that many people reflect on the year that has passed and anticipate the one to come.

My team and I at CitizenGO headquarters are no different.

Our efforts with CitizenGOers like you around the world to defend and promote life, family, faith, and freedom in 2019 led to many highs (and a few lows) that you may remember.

Our continued success depends on our ability to reach millions of people who share our values, to give them the voice the political class censors and the media elites don’t want them to have.

As we were explaining in an email just a few days ago, in 2019 we have obtained many important victories.

Our fight to defend innocent human life succeeded in aiding the safe release of Asia Bibi from the dangerous anti-Christian environment in Pakistan after years of persecution.

CitizenGO activists also helped to free young Tafida Raqeeb from a heartless medical bureaucracy that wanted to kill her by withholding life-saving treatment.

Thanks to supporters like you, CitizenGO generated nearly 300,000 petition signatures and held prayer vigils worldwide for little Tafida.

Now, she is in Italy receiving the medical care she needs.

In the United States and elsewhere, we successfully fought to hold elected officials accountable for refusing to defend religious liberty, family values, and the sanctity of human life.

And just a few weeks ago, we went to deliver almost half a million petitions to Walt Disney World headquarters in Orlando, USA, to counter the push to saturate their productions with the LGBT lobby’s corrupt message.

Unfortunately -- and unsurprisingly -- our enemies do not want these victories to go unpunished.

CitizenGO has been relentlessly attacked because we are so effective.

If you and I are to build on our achievements and overcome our enemies’ attacks in the year ahead, CitizenGO must be able to count on your monthly financial support.

Our success in Spain led to the political establishment stripping our sister group of its status as a charitable organization, increasing the burden on its finances.

Our United Kingdom Campaigns Director and dear friend Caroline Farrow is facing prison.

A radical transgender activist is suing her under a law designed to punish anyone who opposes the LGBT agenda.

Her legal bills are piling up as I write you this, and the outcome of her case remains to be seen.

But I hope it’s clear that it is the support of our CitizenGOers that helps us persevere through all the setbacks and hardships, and it makes our victories possible.

Government agencies, media conglomerates, and massive entertainment companies have budgets that run into the billions of dollars.

That is the reality of the battles we fought in 2019 and will be fighting in 2020.

Fortunately, you and I don’t have to match them Dollar-for-Dollar.

Our grassroots organizational tactics have a proven history of success on much smaller budgets.

And while we might not have the budget of a government agency or a multinational corporation, we still have an ambitious agenda for the year ahead.

To list just a few of the important programs our CitizenGOers are engaged in right now, our activists are working to: 

• Oppose the radical pro-abortion and transgenderism agendas at the powerful United Nations Commission on the Status of Women in 2020
• Increase the reach of the moving pro-life movie “Unplanned” to more and more countries
• End gender ideology indoctrination in Disneyland and in Disney films and productions
• Keep LGBT lobby symbols out of FIFA soccer events
• Continue to impact elections and legislation on behalf of life, family, and liberty

On top of all this, we must continue to defend our friend Caroline and be ready to face new attacks, whatever and wherever they may be.
