John, the Affordable Care Act is in jeopardy after the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals struck down the individual mandate.

The consequences if the ACA is undone will be severe and wide-ranging:

-Over 20 million Americans could lose coverage.
-Protections for pre-existing conditions will be gone -- impacting as many as 133 million people.
-It will be harder to get affordable coverage for essential healthcare benefits like prescription drugs, substance abuse treatment, hospitalization, maternity care.
-Seniors on Medicare will pay more for treatment and have higher Rx drug prices in the Part D "donut hole."
-Medicaid expansion could be eliminated entirely.
