From Barnet, Camden, Haringey, Enfield and Islington Community Mental Health Services:-Please join them on 30 September at Hornsey Vale Community Centre, Mayfield Road, London N8 9LP in Haringey, 1-4pm, to learn about the way they are transforming community mental health services across Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington. Their Community Mental Health Transformation Programme is working across five boroughs, Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and
Islington. Staff from each will be at the event to talk about the work that they are doing and listen to your feedback and your thoughts on what they need to do to make services better for you; they’ll also have some small discussion groups, they’ll be asking for your feedback, and they’ll be serving refreshments.

Mental Health of Women Seeking Support (From Dr Jessica Taylor), Thursday 29 September, 10.00am - 12.00pmVictimFocus are pleased to present and discuss findings from their report which portrays the experiences of 395 women who sought support for their mental health after they had been subjected to sexual violence. This session is free and open to anyone working with, or with an interest in women and girls subjected to abuse and trauma. Addictive Eaters Anonymous online meetings, Thursdays 6.30 - 7.30am and Fridays 7.00 - 8.00pmAddictive Eaters Anonymous (AEA) is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from addictive eating. AEA has members who have suffered from anorexia, bulimia and binge eating. Many have been underweight, overweight or obese; others were people of average
weight yet suffered with an obsession with food. Members may have used exercise and other substances to try and control their weight. Swapping 30 minutes of social media per day with exercise benefits mental health (From Medical News Today)Replacing 30 minutes of social media use per day with physical activity can enhance emotional well-being and reduce stress, German researchers say.
The benefits of exercise lingered as much as 6 months after the end of their study.
Participants who cut back on social media and exercised more experienced greater happiness and less stress related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
