It’s no secret that Gov. Ron DeSantis has raised gobs of money for his reelection campaign (most of it contributed by out-of-state, far-right billionaires).

But all the money in the world can’t hide the fact that he’s a radical, authoritarian wannabe who cares more about his political future than the future of our great state.

If you ask me, that’s why the momentum is with us, despite DeSantis’s cash advantage:

We’ve got the wind at our backs, and now it’s time to take the fight to Ron DeSantis. We don’t need to match his billionaire donors dollar for dollar. Still, we do need to raise enough to refute his attack ads, run our own ads, fund our ground game, and build the campaign we need to WIN in November. Will you split a donation of $25 or whatever you can afford between my campaign and Debbie Stabenow right now? [[link removed]]

Multiple recent polls show this race in a dead heat, and one of those polls revealed that independent voters support me 52% to 39% over DeSantis.

This is encouraging news, but we can’t forget just how much money the governor has to throw at us. I’m proud to rely on grassroots donors (not out-of-state billionaires), but that does mean I need to send emails like this one asking for help.

And that’s what I’m doing today: asking you for your help to win this election. Please split a donation of $25 or whatever you can right now. [[link removed]]

God bless you, and God bless Florida,

Charlie Crist
