As the article points out, “An election-denying secretary of state could refuse to certify an election that he or she believes was rigged. An election-denying governor could attempt to submit electoral votes that defy the will of the people. And election-denying senators and representatives could vote to count those electoral votes.”

It’s no exaggeration to say that extremist, election-denying Republicans could pose an existential threat to our democracy. We already saw them attempt to overturn President Biden’s win in 2020, and if enough of them win this November, they could try again — this time successfully — in 2024.
