September has been a big month. I had my first televised mayoral debate on Wednesday against my billionaire opponent and had the chance to share our vision for Los Angeles with voters.

And, more good news: the endorsements for my campaign have been rolling in, and I’m proud to say, just this month, I received support from Tracee Ellis Ross, Issa Rae, Ava DuVernay, LaTanya and Samuel L. Jackson, and so many other entertainment industry leaders.

I am honored to have their support and commitment to helping get this city on the right track.

But, we can't slow down. We have less than seven weeks to go!

I’m up against a billionaire real estate developer who has bankrolled Republicans and backed anti-abortion politicians. Rick Caruso has spent $65 MILLION to buy this race — an unfathomable amount. And if we're going to compete, we need to keep up our momentum.
