Friend,

When you hear about North Korea, what comes to mind?

The news tells stories of socialism, dictatorship, military maneuvers, and food shortages. But few talk about what happens to the citizens. What happened to me. . .

My name is Grace Jo. I escaped North Korea and the horrors of Communism.

Will you help me tell my story to students across the country?

Too many young people believe the United States is an evil, oppressive country and that capitalism is a failure.

But they don’t understand what an oppressive country really looks like.

Most Americans today don’t understand what socialism does to you. How it steals your humanity – starves your soul, mind, and stomach of all that freedom provides.

Young Voice’s latest program, Dissident Project, is countering the mainstream narratives about how peaceful and successful socialism can be. The Dissident Project brings survivors of tyrannical socialist countries, like me, to high schools around the United States to share our stories.

I’m excited to share that the Young Voices Dissident Project already has over 20 bookings!

Now, we’re looking to raise $10,000 this week to support our speakers as they head out to high schools across the country.

Your generous gift helps Dissident Project speakers like me share our stories about the horrors of socialism with high school students. Click here to donate $10, $25, $50, or any amount today >>>

We’ve already started heading to classrooms across the country!

So far, we’re going to cities like-

And that list will continue to grow as the school year progresses. These schools are excited to give their students a rare opportunity to hear a first-hand account of what it’s like to grow up in an oppressive state.

The more similarities I see between North Korea and America, the more I’m convinced that students need to hear my story.

College students are self-censoring to avoid backlash over the tiniest things.

It reminds me of how in North Korea, everyone must censor themselves. But that’s because anyone caught speaking out against the regime could be jailed or executed.

No one in the United States is getting executed, but people are still self-censoring out of fear that they will get kicked out of colleges and organizations or canceled by online mobs.

We have a chance now to turn America away from socialism.

But to do that, we need to educate the next generation on the true dangers of socialism.
