New Orleans DSA - Update

The Political Education Working Group is proud to host a viewing and discussion of Abortion and Women’s Rights 1970. This short film powerfully reminds us of the conditions and demands that inspired the movement for abortion rights fifty years ago. It also examines some pervasive racist and economic inequities in health care, both in the US and worldwide. The film advances the need for safe, legal abortion and the broader fight for reproductive justice today. After the viewing, three of the filmmakers will join us via zoom for a discussion, ending with suggestions for next steps in this crucial battle for human rights and health justice.

This will be an in-person event at The AllWays Lounge's Twilight Room (2240 St Claude), on Tuesday, September 27 from 8:30 - 10:00 pm. Because the AllWays Lounge is a bar, this is a 21+ event. If you can't make the event in person, you can join us on Zoom by going to bit.ly/NODSA_1970

Not yet a member? The most important tool that the working class has is organization. We're strong when we fight together. We have to build a durable, mass political organization to wield the kind of power we need to win real change in our society. If you aren't a dues-paying member of DSA yet, join today!
