Jack,
It is disturbing to see the administration's newest and cruelest attack on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) - one of our strongest defenses against hunger and a highly regarded social safety net program. To threaten taking food off of the table for nearly 700,000 people this holiday season is a new low for this administration.
This is especially hurtful in Wisconsin where county governments will have to find the resources to assist those affected. These rules will cause serious harm to people right here in Northern Wisconsin, and impact our economy, grocery retailers, agricultural producers, and our local communities.
Washington should focus on reducing food insecurity, providing more good-paying jobs, and ensuring a livable wage instead of implementing inhumane measures such as this change.
Will you chip in $10 or more today to show that our grassroots team is ready to flip this seat blue in May? We need to fight for our children, and flipping this seat is the only way we can do that in Washington.

As a Teacher and School Board President, I see children struggling with food security, so this is personal to me. SNAP plays a critical role in addressing hunger and food insecurity.
By requiring our poorest citizens who depend on federal assistance like SNAP to be fully employed, they are essentially telling people to “land a job or go hungry.” Instead of taking care of struggling Americans, they are taking care of the wealthiest Americans and balancing it on the backs of the poor.
This heartless and cruel attack must end. Chip in whatever you can today so we can win this election and send a big voice to Washington.
Thank you,
Tricia Zunker
