John – Eric Schmitt knows that his anti-abortion beliefs have no place in this millennium. But he's doing everything that he can to take us back to 1972 – a pre-Roe era when abortion was illegal and reproductive freedom was nonexistent.
Earlier this summer, immediately after Roe v. Wade fell, Eric Schmitt made Missouri the first state in the country to implement an extreme trigger ban on abortion. Now, doctors are terrified and at times unable to provide lifesaving care to their patients – and the birth control that patients have counted on for decades could be next on Eric Schmitt’s chopping block.
But this is only just the beginning. Sen. Lindsey Graham has already introduced a bill to ban abortion NATIONWIDE. This is no longer a hypothetical worst-case scenario. The GOP is openly scheming to ban abortion in all 50 states! We cannot let Eric Schmitt, one of the biggest anti-choice villains in the country, make it to the Senate and become a rubber stamp for the GOP's extreme and dangerous agenda.
Thankfully, Trudy Busch Valentine – a mother, grandmother, fourth-generation Missourian, and proud nurse – is running to defeat his extreme ideology and defend our reproductive rights!
