Donald Trump deserves to be impeached, both by Congress and by the American people.

Elections are the bedrock of our democracy — they are the most direct check on power that we have. Today, we have a president who doesn't want to be held accountable, doesn't want to answer to the people, and only works to protect himself. 

He's polluting our democracy by corrupting our elections.

Trump has admitted — and his co-conspirators have admitted — that he pressured a foreign government to interfere with our fair and free elections with a phony investigation into his political rival.

He knows he’s failed Republicans on border security, repealing & replacing Obamacare, controlling wasteful government spending, and he’s cost them in every election since he took office.

He’s afraid he won’t get reelected — so he cheated.

He illegally abused the power of his public office to ask another country to lie to you to hopefully change your vote. He didn’t care that it violated the Constitution. He didn’t care that it robbed you of the truth. He doesn’t care about anyone but himself.

Now he’s been impeached by the House of Representatives, but Senate leadership has already made it clear that they'll collude with Trump to keep him in power — they are brazenly betraying their duty because they know that the truth is a threat to Trump.

But we don’t need them — because we still have the ballot box.

We can remove Trump without the Senate, without Ukraine, without debunked conspiracy theories from his acolytes. You are the Constitutional check and balance against a man who wants to run America for his own benefit.
