And that's not all. It's just the first of three Trump administration policies to cut 3.7 million beneficiaries, including cutting benefits for 500,000 kids receiving free and reduced lunch at school.

Trump’s proposal is cruel and senseless. SNAP assists more than 40 million low-income Americans, including 650,000 Marylanders, and 80% of SNAP households include a senior, someone with a disability, or a child. SNAP has helped 3.4 million people out of poverty, and it has improved high school graduation rates, adult earnings, and health.
