The John Bailey Dinner is our biggest night of the year — we are so excited to be hosting everyone and honoring our award winner in person for the first time since 2019. We have a special night planned that you won't want to miss, John!

This year, CT Dems welcomes the first South Carolinian and the second African American to serve as House Majority Whip in the United State Congress, the Honorable James E. Clyburn.

Congressman Clyburn serves as the Majority Whip and the third-ranking Democrat in the United States House of Representatives. He has represented South Carolina’s sixth congressional district since 1993. As a national leader and dedicated public servant, he has championed rural and economic development and many of his initiatives have become law. His 10-20-30 federal funding formula was included in four sections of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Moreover, because of his work in Congress and the trust he has developed nationwide he has been instrumental in supporting and helping elect Democratic nominees on every level.[link removed] [[link removed]]

Cocktail reception will start at 5 PM with dinner to follow at 6:30 PM.
VIP admission includes a private reception from 5:30 – 6:30 PM with a photo line with the Congressman!

As we head into the most important election of our lives, it is more important than ever for Democrats to stand together behind the candidates and the issues that will be on the ballot on November 8.
