Hi there Supporter. I'm Michelle! For the last eleven years (and counting!), my mission has been to make sure Sierra Club advocates and activists have the financial support they need to do their part to – literally – save the planet.


You learn a lot in eleven years. Tops on my list:

- There is no cause more urgent than protecting this planet. And you and I both know we're running out of time. Nothing else matters without our united pursuit of climate solutions. Nothing.

- And yet…I am hopeful! I know what the Sierra Club and our fellow planet activists can do when we set our mind to it. Save bald eagles from extinction? Check. Shut down hundreds of coal plants? Check. Stop logging in forests from coast to coast? Check!

- Sierra Club membership really, really matters. Every single time we speak up and out about climate change, reducing carbon emissions, protecting forests and parks, and everything else, legislators and corporations listen. That's because they know we speak with the millions-strong power of our passionate and diverse members and champions behind us. That's why I am proud to do my part here. And, it's why I spend a lot of time trying to make it as easy as possible for people – for YOU – to do your part as well. Today, I'm making it extra easy.

If I thought the last eleven years were action-packed at the Sierra Club, well, the next eleven years… are breathtaking. Our plans are ambitious and beyond critical. Your membership means that we can:
- Make REAL progress in solving the climate crisis. Even as I write this, extreme, unnatural events are happening all over the world. Entire towns in Mississippi and Kentucky are under water! Riverbeds in Europe are cracked and dry. We don't have the luxury of waiting a second more.

- Forever protect 30% of U.S. lands and waters by 2030. Achieving this goal is not only a vital component to fighting the climate crisis, it will ensure the ancestral homes for countless indigenous communities, the enchanting forests, and thousands of animal species will continue to be here for generations. But it won't happen without our fierce action to stop extraction and development.

- Build a bigger, more powerful coalition that includes labor, faith and civil rights organizations to hold every single lawmaker at every single level accountable to make strides on climate change, safe drinking water, and public lands.

I don't need to ask if you're with me – with us – on this agenda. If you're reading this, I already know you are. I'm counting on you to not just be "with us" but to be WITH US, as a Sierra Club member.
