Four years after Stacey Abrams was defeated by less than 55,000 votes, Georgia has gained 1.6 million new voters—equal to almost 20% of the statewide electorate. These new voters are disproportionately young and people of color, which has in recent years made Georgia a bluer state.
What's more, with the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade, we are now seeing in Georgia what we have seen in other states across the country: young people, and young women in particular, are coming out in droves to register to vote.
Stacey Abrams is uniquely situated to take advantage of this moment. Republican Gov. Brian Kemp signed one of the nation's most extreme anti-abortion laws, and Abrams has deftly highlighted abortion rights as a campaign issue to motivate voters to the polls.
Further, Georgia's early voting numbers are an indication that it's working. Early vote-by-mail requests have disproportionately been made by women and Black voters. Stacey Abrams knows how to mobilize voters, and just needs help from you today to execute this plan.
