John,
This is the longest email I’ll ever send you, so I hope you’ll read the
whole thing.
I want to share our game plan for flipping Ohio’s open Senate seat
blue—when you’re running in a swing state that Trump won, you can’t leave
anything to chance.
[ [link removed] ]That’s why I have to ask: Will you split a donation of $25 or more
between No Dem Left Behind and my campaign to help us on the road to
victory to flip Ohio blue and expand our Democratic Senate majority?

Step One: Talk to Folks in Every Corner of Ohio
Working class Ohioans, in our big cities and our small towns, know what
it’s like to be left out and left behind. I won’t be that kind of Senator.
We kicked off this campaign by launching a Workers First Tour. Since then,
we’ve been traveling all over Ohio—visiting union halls, factories,
restaurants, and even a few bars—to hear from folks about the challenges
they’re facing.
The truth is, a lot of people don’t trust politicians, and they have every
reason to be skeptical. The only way to break through that is to look
someone in the eye, shake their hand, and let them see that you don’t have
eight heads.
The opposition might be spending millions of dollars to attack me, but
your donations allow me to do what matters—show up and meet folks
face-to-face.

Step Two: Stand Up to Special Interests and Put Workers First
I’ve made more than a few headlines for getting loud (okay, outright
yelling) on the House floor, because when it comes to speaking up for the
hardworking people out there busting their rear ends every day, I’ll never
hold my tongue.
Whether it’s the Chinese government, Big Pharma, a corporate giant trying
to ship jobs overseas, or a member of my own party—I’m not afraid to take
on anyone who tries to leave our workers high and dry.
If that puts a target on my back, so be it.
My Republican opponent JD Vance can rely on the steady support of
dark-money groups, but I’m proud to run a campaign that’s powered by
grassroots supporters like you—not right-wing special interests and tech
billionaires.

Step Three: Focus On The Issues That Matter
The vast majority of Americans are working harder and longer, making less,
and falling further behind. CEOs are getting golden parachutes, while our
seniors are cutting pills in half because they can’t afford their
medications.
You wouldn’t know it from listening to JD Vance though—all he does is yell
about the culture war du jour. We’re not going to flip Ohio blue and
expand our Democratic majority by starting fights over Big Bird and Dr.
Seuss—we need to stay focused on the issues that matter.
It doesn’t matter if I’m talking to a Democrat, Independent, or
Republican—I’m talking about jobs and wages. I’m talking about making Ohio
a manufacturing powerhouse. Lowering the cost of prescription drugs.
Expanding broadband access. Making sure our kids get a good education.
Vance is trying to make this race about anger, division, and fear because
he knows that when it comes down to the issues that actually make a
difference for working families, he’ll lose every time.
That’s why my team has to send you emails like this one—so we’ll have the
resources to get our message out over all his GOP nonsense.
[ [link removed] ]I’m giving this race everything I’ve got, but I can’t win this thing
alone. I’m personally asking you to rush a donation of $25 or more so No
Dem Left Behind and I can carry out our campaign strategy, flip Ohio blue,
and finally cut workers in on the deal.
