Hi John,
If you’re super into politics like me, you’re probably get a million emails asking you for donations ahead of this “end-of-quarter” deadline.
We want to be different. So today I’m going to explain what this deadline really means and if you make a donation to support our campaign here, we’ll take you off the list until October.
So what is “end-of-quarter”? By law, campaigns like ours are required to submit a fundraising report to the Federal Election Commission at the end of every quarter. There are four deadlines every year (and more if there is an election), and this provides an opportunity for our opponents to see our report and gauge our support.
Why is this deadline so important? Fundraising numbers are a key area to determine a campaign’s strength. If we send in a strong report, Republican Super PACs will know they have an uphill battle. If we show any signs of weakness, they will pounce on the opportunity to send more attack ads into our district.
Why support Josh? We are one of the most competitive toss-up races in the country with a poll showing Josh tied with his MAGA opponent Tom Patti. We don’t take a dime of corporate PAC money either, so we need your help to raise $50,000 to fund all of our ads and organizing efforts before ballots go out in just over one week.
When is the deadline? The cutoff for fundraising towards our next end-of-quarter report is September 30th, and we will submit the numbers to the FEC by October 15th. This is the last quarter before the election and it’s the most important deadline of this campaign!
Now that you know a little more about our end-of-quarter deadline and why it matters, will you please send in a generous donation right now to help reach our goal?

Every dollar is going to count, and I’d love to save your inbox the emails!
