John, I know that it's easy to feel worn down by the world we live in. With the way things are going these days, it's hard to feel hopeful about the future.
For the first time ever, American girls today have fewer freedoms than their mothers had growing up. Meanwhile, a whole generation is worse off than their parents financially. Today, it's harder to get the abortion care you need, put yourself through college, buy a house, or save for retirement than it was decades ago.
There is so much work that we must do to reverse these dangerous trends and get our country back on track. In so many ways, the task ahead of us feels impossibly daunting.
But when I look young people in the eye, when I hear their stories, and when they share their hopes and dreams with huge smiles and endless optimism – I remember just how bright our future really is.
Every generation has outdone the last in some way. Each of them has taken up the torch and continued this never-ending work to move our country forward. And bit by bit, we have gotten closer to true equity, to true opportunities for all, and to a truly kind, compassionate world.
I promise you that I will never, ever stop working to win that future.
That's why I'm running for Senate. You see, the problems facing us do have solutions – and you can count on me to fight for them. But to get to Washington, I need you to join me in this work: Please, can you make a grassroots donation – any amount helps – to power my campaign and stand with me for a better, brighter future? If we all unite together, anything is possible.
