John, it’s Nida. I want to tell you about Representative Ricky Hurtado, HD-63.

Ricky is a son of working class immigrants from El Salvador who is using his platform to help first-generation college students and immigrant families break down barriers.

In 2020, Ricky flipped his house seat from red to blue by just FOUR HUNDRED votes– at the same time that a brutally racist sheriff was arresting minorities for marching to the polls.

Now, the GOP anti-choice opponent who he beat in 2020 is back for a rematch, and believe me, John: this race is going to be tight.

When I ran for office, I was fighting to represent immigrant communities whose voices had been ignored by those in power for far too long.

North Carolina has over one million Latine residents, but two-thirds are not eligible to vote.

Ricky provides much needed representation for our under-represented immigrant communities and is a powerful voice in Raleigh.

Meanwhile, his extremist GOP opponent (who voted to criminalize doctors who perform abortions) is raking in money from his wealthy MAGA donors to defeat Ricky in 45 days.
