New York Times : How Paul LePage, Running to Lead Maine, Benefited From Florida Tax Breaks
“Mr. LePage, a former governor who is seeking to reclaim the office, has along with his wife benefited from property tax breaks reserved for permanent Florida residents, public records show.”
“…while Mr. LePage said that he and his wife were in Florida for only a couple of months a year, they have painted a different picture for Florida’s tax collectors over the years.”

John,
A bombshell report in the New York Times just broke the story: Paul LePage claimed he was a resident of Florida while serving as Governor of Maine in order to qualify for a property tax break on his Florida property. At the same time, he was driving up property taxes for Mainers.
With just weeks to go until Election Day, this is a critical moment for Maine Democrats. We need to mobilize now to keep Paul LePage from taking back the Blaine House. Can you rush $5 now to help us reelect Governor Mills and Democrats down the ballot?

As if fleeing to Florida for tax reasons after his loss to Governor Mills wasn’t enough, now we learn he was already claiming residency there while he lived in the Maine governor’s mansion.
Paul LePage has shown us who he is time and time again. He will never put Mainers first — not when he could be catering to his own private interests instead. We can’t let him win this election.
John, please pitch in $5 to help us fight back and elect Democrats in Maine.
