Dear John,
For months we've been spreading the word about how corporate profits, not rising wages, are the biggest problem driving inflation. At first, no one was listening. But this week, my testimony before Congress broke through all over the country, including in battleground states and even on AM radio stations in Red America where people usually only hear from the likes of Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck.
We need to keep working to get the truth out before Election Day. Will you make a donation to Inequality Media Civic Action and help make sure voters everywhere understand how soaring corporate profits are driving inflation?

For more background on our work on this issue, check out the email we sent out earlier this week, pasted below.
Dear John,
All year I’ve been trying to explain how soaring corporate profits — not rising wages — are the main problem driving inflation.
But yesterday Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell once again raised interest rates in a wrong-headed effort to fight inflation by slowing down the economy and throwing people out of work.
It’s maddening.
The good news is that today I got to make my case directly to Congress. I was invited to be the lead witness at a hearing held by one of the key subcommittees responsible for overseeing the Fed, and I told them how Congress can control inflation by limiting corporate profits rather than hammering workers.
Now I’m not so grandiose as to think I alone could convince Congress to take action. To convince Congress to take action, we need to reach everyday Americans who don’t have time to sit and watch subcommittee hearings on CSPAN.
That’s why Inequality Media Civic Action is using all our social media platforms to alert and activate voters to demand Congress crack down on corporate profits, not workers' wages.
Will you make a donation to help support Inequality Media Civic Action and mobilize people to demand Congress take control of inflation by cracking down on corporate profits?
The simple fact that I was invited as the lead witness at this hearing shows that our message is starting to break through with at least some leading Democrats. But to force real policy change, we need to mobilize a broader audience.
Inequality Media Civic Action was founded on the idea that we could use the internet and social media to connect directly with everyday people while bypassing the filter of the corporate media.
That’s never been more important than right now.
Let’s face it: The corporate media will never explain how corporate profits are a key driver of inflation. They are owned and controlled by the very corporate interests racking up those record profits.
That’s why you won’t hear the talking heads on cable news explaining how corporate profits have hit a 70-year high or how workers haven't gotten a real wage increase in decades. And you won’t hear them advocating policies that rein in inflationary corporate profits like a windfall profits tax, tougher antitrust enforcement, or temporary price controls.
But the fact that I was invited to be the lead witness at today's hearing shows that our message is starting to break through. Now we need to get our message out to a broader audience — and you can help us do just that by making a donation to Inequality Media Civic Action.
Will you make a donation today? I would be incredibly grateful for any amount you can afford to give, and I promise we’ll put it to the best possible use.
Thank you for helping fight for an economy that works for all of us, not just giant corporations.
