Folks, today is National Public Lands Day, and I wanted to take a moment to celebrate all of the beautiful landscapes that make New Mexico home.
Our national parks and public lands are the lifeblood of our state. From the deepest caves of the Carlsbad Caverns, to the grassy land of the Great Plains, to the highest point of Wheeler Peak, New Mexico is truly one of the most breathtaking states in our nation.
But climate change has put our national public lands at risk. Every year, our climate grows hotter and drier – and now, New Mexicans everywhere are suffering from more intense droughts, hotter summers and even more unpredictable weather patterns.
That's why I'll never stop my fight against climate change. I was proud to vote for the Inflation Reduction Act – which invests billions into climate solutions – but we can't stop there. With Big Oil's favorite Republicans still fighting to drill on and destroy our land, I'm counting on your support, so please:
Before National Public Lands Day ends, will you chip in $5 to stand with me in my ongoing fight to protect our public lands, stop climate change and defend our Democratic Senate majority?
