My favorite part of running for office is being in our communities, connecting with you — my friends and neighbors — and talking about the important issues facing the First District. Asking for money? Not so much. However, I have come to think of money as energy. Will you put your energy behind our campaign in this last 45 day push?
Campaigning comes at a cost, so I have to ask if you’ll make a donation to our campaign before the last quarterly deadline of the election — coming up in less than one week. I breathe a sigh of relief that this is our last major fundraising deadline of the campaign. The entire reason we’ve been competitive in this race is because of the incredible grassroots support I’ve received since we launched this movement. You are part of the strongest grassroots force the First District has ever seen, and for that, I am truly grateful.
We need a huge showing of grassroots donations when we close the books on our September numbers, and we set a goal to raise another $25,000 before the month is over.
This is the single most important deadline we’ve faced because all of our spending decisions about how much TV, radio, and mail we can afford at this critical moment come down to our final cash-on-hand numbers. This is how we get our message out and WIN.
