John, I still remember where I was when I heard the news that Roe v. Wade would be overturned. I immediately thought about what it would mean for my kids’ future and how they would grow up having fewer rights than I did.
Now, Republicans have taken things even further and introduced a nationwide ban on abortion. It’s clear that Republicans don’t just want to turn this debate over to the states. If that were the case, they wouldn’t be supporting Lindsey Graham’s new bill to ban abortion nationally.
Every election and every House seat matters. That was true when the PCCC helped me flip this seat blue in 2018, and it is true now as we’re working together to keep it blue and win enough other races to keep control of the House. Your support will help do this and allow me to continue fighting for our freedom.
I can promise you that I will always fight for the right to safe and legal abortions, to expand access to reproductive healthcare, and stand up to Republicans who think they should control women’s lives.
But I’m running in a swing district with an equal number of Democrats and Republicans, and this is my toughest race yet. We have our end-of-quarter fundraising deadline coming up in just a few days and making a donation is one of the most useful ways you can help.
