When Henry Cuellar's campaign was asked if they’d accept our call for a debate, here’s what they said:

“It's not a no so much as it's not even a consideration. She is not a serious candidate.”

That’s absurd, and Henry knows it. Let’s show him just how serious we are:

Make a $3 donation to our campaign right now to help us defeat Henry Cuellar. Posting a big number after this month’s FEC deadline would make us impossible for him to ignore.

He’s scared of you, me and being forced to meet his constituents face to face.

He and his campaign can say whatever nonsense they want, but their actions speak loudest of all. Since we got on the ballot and challenged him to a debate, here’s how he’s been spending his corporate PAC contributions:

• Opening a campaign office
• Running TV ads
• Putting up yard signs
• Knocking on doors

Until now, he hasn’t had to run a “serious” campaign. He’s waltzed through the primary and general of our safe blue district assuming he’s untouchable.

But we’ve called out his record of voting with Trump 70% of the time, opposing reproductive freedom, taking money from and siding with Big Oil and the NRA, and voting to fund Trump’s wall.

He knows he’s vulnerable. That’s clear. And if we have the resources we need to compete, then we know we'll win.

Will you make a $3 to this “not a serious” campaign to help us expose the truth about Henry Cuellar to our community? He doesn’t want people to know about his record, so we’ll make sure everyone in TX-28 hears about it before the primary.

I wish I could say his campaign’s comments surprised me, but the truth is this is exactly who Henry Cuellar is. I saw that when I was his intern.

We’ve deserved better for a long time. Together, we’ll finally get real Democratic leadership for the people of South Texas.
