On January 6 of last year, I watched as my representative, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and her radical-right cronies openly cheered the insurrection in the halls of Congress.

As a US Army veteran who served on multiple continents overseas, I was beyond furious that Marjorie Taylor Greene was openly trying to undermine the same democracy I fought to protect.

At that moment, I knew I couldn’t sit on the sidelines any longer, so I threw my hat in the ring to run against her.
