Hi John, This week, Jacinda Ardern did us proud on the world stage yet again, representing New Zealand at the Queen’s Funeral in the UK and at the United National General Assembly in New York. It’s been four years since Jacinda made history by bringing baby Neve to the UN, and while things looked a little different this time around, this week’s events have been important for New Zealand. From driving global change through the Christchurch Call to discussing Kiwi trade with other world leaders, Jacinda has used this trip to grow New Zealand’s already strong international reputation - which is key for continuing our robust economic recovery. This morning, on the final day of her trip, Jacinda spoke about unity during a powerful speech to the United Nations General Assembly. If you missed it, you can check out the full speech here.
It’s been a busy few days in New York, and this momentum will continue here at home as the Government keeps working to secure our economic recovery and support families with the cost of living. We’ll keep you updated on all that’s going on, but for now, you can catch up on Jacinda’s UN speech here. Thanks, |
