We don't just talk about inclusion at Ms., we follow leaders and support their work through grants and other resources. We also hire amazing leaders. Meet the Ms. Foundation's newest team members: *Coya White Hat-Artichoker, Shawnda Chapman, and Ruth McFarlane*.



Program Officer Coya White Hat-Artichoker was born and raised on the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota; she is a proud enrolled member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe. Coya has been doing activist work in various communities and movements since the age of 15. She is a founding member of the First Nations Two Spirit Collective, a Collective working to building a stronger political presence for Two-Spirit people within the national dialogue of queer rights.

Director of the Girls Fund Initiative Shawnda Chapman previously worked as a lead program specialist on a national initiative aimed at preventing and ending girls' incarceration at the Vera Institute of Justice. She also served as Director of the Beyond the Bars Fellowship.

VP of Advancement Ruth McFarlane most recently served as the Director of Development and Community Engagement at the National Center for Lesbian Rights and the Director of Programs at the San Francisco LGBT Community Center. Before working in the nonprofit sector she practiced as an attorney in New York and Dallas.

We are thrilled to have Coya, Shawnda, and Ruth onboard. They are already having a big impact on our work. You can too.
