John –

As we enter the final weeks of the election season, Team WisGOP will be sending you weekly updates to make sure you are as up-to-date as possible on what’s going on in Wisconsin Republican politics.

Today kicks off our September Weekend of Action! If you’re able to volunteer, please sign up to join us on our website here <[link removed]>, or visit one of our field offices around the state which you can find here <[link removed]>.

Mandela Barnes was caught in another lie this week as the pressure has continued to mount against him and his previous comments disparaging the police. In an attempt to cover up his past comments, his campaign rolled out a list <[link removed]> with a whopping 9 members of law enforcement on it. Of those nine, only two were non-retired members of law enforcement, and by the end of the week, both of them had announced they had never agreed to endorse <[link removed]> Mandela. Barnes’ continual lies to Wisconsinites will catch up with him in November, and we will continue to hold him to account.

September 15 kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month! In RPW’s commitment to increased outreach to minority communities, we have held three events so far in celebration of our Hispanic community. A block party, voter registration drive, and a pints and politics event have been the start of our month-long programming. Additionally, this week marked an important milestone for our outreach efforts to the Hispanic community. Operación ¡Vamos!, a joint effort by RPW and the National Republican Senatorial Committee, has successfully contacted more Hispanic voters across the Badger State than all of our efforts, combined, over the last six years. With over half of Hispanic Heritage Month left to go, keep an eye out for more exciting events coming up soon!

Wisconsin Right Now has continued to roll out <[link removed]> their hard-hitting series of stories detailing the violent criminals that have been paroled under the Evers Administration. With every daily update, it becomes more and more clear that Evers has turned a blind eye to the safety of Wisconsinites, and is instead focused on releasing as many of our state’s inmates as possible. In response, Tim Michels sent a letter to Gov. Evers demanding an immediate halt to any further pardons or paroles being granted.

<[link removed]>

In the last week, the person who is law enforcement’s choice for U.S. Senate has become even more explicit. Unlike Mandela Barnes, Ron Johnson has no problem coming up with a lengthy list of members of law enforcement that endorse him. He rolled out a bi-partisan list of 51 sheriffs across the state who have signed on to back his fight for freedom. These included Republicans, Democrats, and independent elected county sheriffs that know that Sen. Johnson will continue to support them and work to keep our streets safe.

In Case You Missed It…

RPW response to Milwaukee Get-Out-The-Vote Partnership with Democrat-leaning Organizations <[link removed]>

The City of Milwaukee isn’t even hiding it anymore. A spokesman for Mayor Cavalier Johnson confirmed his office is planning to coordinate efforts <[link removed]> with a Democrat-leaning communications firm called GPS Impact, in what appears to be an effort to help drive up Democrat voter turnout in the city of Milwaukee in November.

RPW Statement on AG Kaul Abortion Lawsuit <[link removed]>

Attorney General Josh Kaul continues to try to find ways around Wisconsin law. Today he removed three Republican legislators in a lawsuit he filed to try to overturn Wisconsin’s abortion law, instead replacing them as defendants with three local district attorneys.

Johnson Campaign Launches the Parents for Ron Johnson Coalition <[link removed]>

Senator Ron Johnson’s (R-WI) re-election campaign launched the Parents for Ron Johnson Coalition <[link removed]>. The coalition unites parents in all corners of Wisconsin to fight for school choice, improve the costs of education, and help stop Mandela Barnes and the Democrats from indoctrinating our children in schools.

Tim Michels Announces Farm Bureau Endorsement <[link removed]>

The Michels for Governor campaign announced that Tim Michels has been endorsed by the Volunteers for Agriculture, the political arm of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation – the state’s largest general farm organization representing the needs of farmers for all commodities.

Tony Evers' DPI Goes Full Woke <[link removed]>

Wisconsin Superintendent of Public Instruction Jill Underly gave a “State of Education” speech that failed to provide Wisconsin taxpayers and families any information on the actual state of education.  Rather than focus on an agenda focused on student achievement in areas like reading and math, Underly’s remarks served as a political stump speech in favor of woke policies and against the Legislature, despite the supposedly nonpartisan position.
