Hey John,
Just a very quick note to share two things:
1) Last night's Country First Campfire -- where we explored some exciting political innovations -- was a huge success. Whether you missed it or want to see it again, you can watch the replay here: [link removed]
2) A lot is going on every day in our movement! Our volunteer team sent me this update, and I thought it was worth sharing with everyone. If you see a way you'd like to get involved, let them know!
Hope you have a great weekend,
AK
SEPTEMBER MONTH-END GRASSROOTS UPDATE
Here’s what you need to know and just a few of the ways you can get involved:
SENATOR LISA MURKOWSKI
Out of the seven Republican Senators who voted to convict former President Trump, U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski <[link removed]> is the only one up for reelection in 2022. Senator Murkowski has proven that she is more than willing to put country over party regardless of the election cycle. For this reason, Country First is proud to endorse Senator Murkowski and invites all members to participate in virtual tele-outreach efforts. When you sign up, you will be contacted by a volunteer coordinator who will provide you with the necessary resources and guidance to contact Alaskans and encourage them to support Senator Murkowski. The next training will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 5:00pm PST / 6:00pm MST / 7:00pm CST / 8:00pmEST. New members, sign up below:

STATE ORGANIZER TRAINING - NEXT WEDNESDAY
On the last Wednesday of each month, state organizers from all across the United States convene to discuss ways to expand the Country First movement. Country First State Organizers remain committed to elevating their skills to empower members in each state to take action and join the conversation. The next training will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 5:00pm PST / 6:00pm MST / 7:00pm CST / 8:00pmEST. Join our national community of state organizers by signing up below:

MENDING DIVISIONS - NEXT THURSDAY
Too many people have broken relationships with their neighbors, colleagues, friends, and even family members over our toxic political system. Our conversations have turned into accusations, name-calling, and defensiveness rather than active listening, learning from one another’s perspectives, and coming together to strengthen American democracy. Country First is dedicated to turning down the temperature in our conversations and building common ground.
This volunteer-led committee will be hosting a series of training sessions to equip Country First members with the necessary tools to better dialogue in their own community, workplace, home, and beyond. Additionally, committee members will have the opportunity to sign up to lead during our National Virtual Campfires. The next Mending Divisions training will be held on Thursday, September 29 at 5:00pm PST / 6:00pm MST / 7:00pm CST / 8:00pm EST. Change agents, sign up below:

BOOK CLUB - NEXT THURSDAY
The Country First Book Club gathers each month to read a book and discuss the very problems that Country First aims to address. This month’s book is Them: Why We Hate Each Other -- and How to Heal by Ben Sasse <[link removed]>. The next Book Club meeting will be held on Thursday, September 29 at 4:00pm PST / 5:00pm MST / 6:00pm CST / 7:00pm EST. Book Lovers, RSVP below:

YOU+TWO
The Country First movement continues to expand across the nation like wildfire. Each month, we have seen larger audiences at state chapter meetings, national training sessions, virtual campfires, and on our online communities. Introducing someone from your network or community to this empowering movement is one of the biggest differences you could make. It is critical for all of us to work together to share the Country First message far and wide and get others to join in on our mission.
From here on out, we encourage you to bring at least two others to any program you attend and to forward our emails to at least two others. You can start by sharing this email, or log on to the action center to see what's happening throughout the movement and utilize your unique recruiter link.
