When I think about the toughest times in my life, I’m thankful I’ve always had a support system to help me through.

Being raised by two working parents who sometimes struggled to make ends meet wasn’t always easy.

Flying combat missions in Desert Storm wasn’t easy.

Watching Gabby fight so hard in the early days, weeks, and months of her recovery wasn’t easy.

Running for the U.S. Senate and having Donald Trump and National Republicans relentlessly attack me personally — that hasn’t been easy either.

But as a kid, I had my brother Scott.

In combat, I had my wingmen.

With Gabby, we had our whole community offering support.

And in these campaigns, I have you.
