I’ll try to keep this brief, but be sure to read Ellie’s message below! If we keep pressure on the Senate, we can get a floor vote on the ERA before the midterm elections . But we need your help.

Can you do one of the following right now? If you can do 2 or all 3, it will raise the pressure!

SEND THIS LETTER and tell , as well as Senate Majority Leader Schumer (D-NY) [[link removed]] telling them you want the Senate to vote on the ERA before the midterm elections. It’s very easy to do — it only takes three clicks!
We need to flood their inboxes with these letters telling them to take action for the ERA before the midterm elections.

2. CALL THEIR OFFICES , it's harder to ignore someone on the phone. Call them and get your name on their books supporting a floor vote on the ERA time limit or the filibuster. Here is what you can say:

“Hello, My name is John xxxxxx and I live in Washington, DC. It is past time for the Senate to take action on the Equal Rights Amendment. I am calling to urge the Senator’s support of a floor vote on the ERA before the midterm elections. Thank you.”

Since you're in the Washington, DC area: one more request...

On Wednesday, September 28th, oral arguments will be held at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul will argue that the ratification of 38 states should be recognized and the National Archivist should publish the ERA as the 28th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

The midterm elections are just 49 days away. As I write this, abortion rights are vanishing in state after state.

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has introduced a nationwide 15 week abortion ban . He has begun the discussion to ban abortion in every state of the union if the Republicans win the majority in the midterm elections. This means that access to abortion could be severely limited, even in District Of Columbia .

We need the Equal Rights Amendment more than ever for a basic guarantee in the Constitution to stop the denial of rights for women and the LGBTQ Community. Attacks on gender rights are happening every day. [[link removed]]

The House of Representatives has voted — TWICE — to remove the timeline and advance the ERA. Earlier this year, 187 House members co-sponsored H.Res.891, which expresses the sense of the House of Representatives that the Equal Rights Amendment is valid and already part of the Constitution.

Meanwhile, the Senate has done nothing. It is well past time for the Senate to act. [[link removed]] The public must see the Republican Senators block an ERA floor vote with the use of the filibuster.

We need to flood Senators’ inboxes with messages urging them to call for a vote on the ERA right away. There is no time limit on equality. Your letter to the Senators makes it clear that they need to act. [[link removed]]

An overwhelming majority of U.S. adults support Congress adding the ERA to the Constitution, and since the House of Representatives has now voted twice, it is high time for the Senate to act.

We owe it to ourselves and all future generations [[link removed]] — we must add the ERA to the Constitution to protect and eliminate persistent gender discrimination. The ERA will prevent denial of rights based on sex discrimination.

Don’t delay, send your message right now. [[link removed]] We must keep up the pressure. We must have a Senate floor vote before the midterm elections so that everyone can see that Republican Senators are standing in the way of the following words being enshrined in our Constitution:
