Hello,
This isn’t the email we wanted to send, but unfortunately it’s the one we have to: We’ve officially reduced our TV ad buy goal from $175,000 to $150,000.
The goals we set in emails like this one are real, and we wanted to be honest with you about where we are right now.
Admiral Mike Franken is funding his campaign against Chuck Grassley by relying 100% on grassroots donors like you. He’s never taken a dime of corporate PAC money. But this week, right as the polls show a tightening race, our fundraising has really slowed down.
That doesn’t mean we’re giving up. If Mike is going to defeat Chuck and Grassley and expand our Democratic Senate majority, we still need the resources to compete with the millions of dollars Mitch McConnell has been raising into Super PACs to attack him. But we absolutely cannot afford to fall short of this lowered goal now if we’re going to win:
Please, can we count on you to chip in $5 or more right now – whatever you can afford to spare before midnight tonight – to hit our lowered TV ad buy goal and help Admiral Mike Franken defeat Chuck Grassley this November once and for all? [[link removed]]

When we send Grassley packing and turn Iowa blue, it’ll be because we did it together.
Thank you for being a critical part of Mike’s campaign,
